“Central Michigan Mayhem: Roller derby team forgets day jobs for physical competition”

sly angry face

We would like to thank CM Life and Brianne Twiddy for featuring us in the June issue of Central Michigan Life, CMU’s student operated newspaper. Here is a quote from the article made by one of our skaters, Juris KnockedHer:

“Everything is fair game. If I’m trying to get past someone, it’s completely okay for them to try to knock me off my feet,” she said. “It’s very mentally challenging in a way that’s different than any sport I’ve ever played. You have to be thinking the whole time.”

Central Michigan Mayhem wants to teach YOU…

It takes dozens of skaters, officials, and volunteers to run Central Michigan Mayhem. Come see how you can be apart of our non-profit organization. We love to see new faces!

We provide training and equipment (skates, pads, etc) is available for use if necessary. No, you don’t need to know how to skate. You also don’t need prior derby experience.

Please bring a mouth guard.

Check out our Facebook to learn more about us and feel free to contact us at any time.
